内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to compare the accuracy of the ActiGraph accelerometer when worn at the wrist and hip during endurance running in young children. The subjects were 12 young children (5 girls and 7 boys) aged 4 to 6 years. The running distances of the 4 and 5-year-olds and 6-year-olds were 1417.6 m and 2126.4 m, respectively. Each child was equipped with two ActiGraph accelerometers (ActiGraph wGT3X-BT, Pensacola, FL, USA), one with a nylon wrist band on the non-dominant wrist and the other attached with an elastic band on the right hip. Heart rate was measured using a heart rate monitor (Polar, A300, Finland), which was attached to the chest, and data were recorded on a heart rate clock on the left arm. Data were saved on a computer and Polar software was used for analysis. The heart rate and the data recorded by the wrist-worn accelerometer showed a negative correlation (r=-0.227, p<0.01). There was a positive correlation between the accelerometers when worn at the wrist and hip (r=0.232, p<0.01). The relationship between the wrist- and hip-mounted accelerometers during endurance running using the Bland-Altman plot methods was 3.6% outside the 95% limit. This suggests that there was some relationship between the vector magnitude of the accelerometer worn at the wrist and hip in terms of the degree of agreement during endurance running. | |||||
