| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to consider the relationship between trait shyness and (1) the self-report that “I am shy” ,(2)troubles caused by shyness, and (3) the “Big Five”, which is the Five Factor Model in personality psychology. The survey was conducted to 195 college students, and made use of 189 (96.9%) respondents who agreed to be co-operators with the survey. The result was; (1)students whose self-report was “I am shy” showed higher scores in the trait shyness scale, so, the self-report “I am shy” seemed to be useful as a predictor of shyness, (2) higher scores reflected in the trait shyness scale indicated they experienced more troubles caused by shyness in their life, (3) trait shyness was explained by extraversion negatively , attachment negatively, and emotionality positively. Restrained behavior, a component of trait shyness, was explained by extraversion negatively and attachment negatively. Social anxiety, another component of trait shyness, was explained by extraversion negatively and emotionality positively. | |||||||||||||
