内容記述 Physical education classes have various educational values, which include understanding of athletic skills, physical strength, an achievement feeling, an able feeling, movement, the study method and human relations. More recently, society is requesting accountability of education that clarifies the objectives and the results. Moreover, the problem of education in, "The well-rounded character's promotion" was included in the course of study that had been revised in 1998. Human relations came to be more highly recognized as a topic of research in physical education. However, it was found that human relations have been located as a means for the improvement of athletic skills and physical strength from reviewing academic journals in the field of physical education. It is necessary to consider the development of human relations more as an objective of physical education. Based on the idea of human relations, the author examined the children's progress in the following three classes. 1. Individual Activity : Swimming 2. Group Activity : Flag Football 3. Program of Human Relations : Physical Challenges Program According to the formative evaluation, children rated these classes highly. It was particularly high in the Physical Challenges Program from the first class. The reason for this was the progressive nature of the activity in which the children worked on. Children were able to get incremental satisfaction from achievement. In the swimming, children created a group performance based on their ideas. And in flag football, there were many cycles that the strategy of the group was tested in an actual game, and improved upon. Set objectives, creation of ideas, and sense of achievement were common in all classes.
