However, those judo classes at universities that train health and physical education teachers have not been clarified—examining the latter could help improve judo classes at such universities and enhance the learning effectiveness of the students who take the classes. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to clarify the learning contents of judo classes at universities that train health and physical education teachers. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with three teachers who conduct judo classes at such a university. The results revealed the following: 1. It is desirable to install a portrait of Master Jigoro Kano in the judo hall and a hanging scroll mentioning judo’s philosophy, principles “Seiryoku-zenyou” and “Jita-kyoei,” and Kano’s teachings. 2. It is preferable to have a personalized judo uniform 3. It is important to ensure that Rei-ho is practiced in diverse situations, such as at the beginning and end of class, entering and leaving the judo hall, and before and after practice. 4. For ukemi training, it is important to select students with low skills, such as those who have hit their head on the tatami mat, and have them do a personal ukemi training. In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to students with low motor skills; student assistants can help the class proceed smoothly. 5.
