These abilities can be cultivated through the experience of communications and collaborative activities with other people who have different backgrounds, such as age, culture, and language. Overseas experience or collaborative activities with other people are significant events that provide people with good experiences, different from their normal lives, resulting in the cultivation of FCWP. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of an overseas program focusing on strength and conditioning, composed of various collaborative activities, on participants’ FCWP and the difference in the change of FCWP before and after the program. Participants were 17 individuals who participated in the 2019 National Strength and Conditioning Association Japan S&C tour in Colorado( 14 men and 3 women; 10 students and 7 working adults). The program duration was ten days and consisted of a classroom study and facility tour; all contents were based on exercise science. The questionnaire with scales developed by Nishimichi (2011) and Otsui( 2018) was used to measure FCWP before and after the program. The results indicated that the ability to communicate effectively (p = 0.001) and think (p = 0.023) significantly improved after the program. However, there was no difference in the rate of change in each FCWP ability between students and working adults. This overseas training program, which incorporates collaborative activities abroad among people who are not familiar with each other, could have a significant impact on the participants as an occasion to develop their FCWP capacities. This situation maximized the difference from their normal life, and they needed to adapt by independent actions such as being a good listener, which resulted in the cultivation of FCWP. In addition, all participants positively challenged things that are different from their normal lives even though their backgrounds were different. The program was not organized by school or company, and all participants joined it voluntarily. They were highly motivated through the entire program, resulting in an increased chance of cultivating FCWP. In conclusion, it is suggested that participating in a training program in a foreign country for various collaborative activities with a variety of people provided a lot of experiences and improved the participants’ FCWP.}, pages = {37--48}, title = {海外研修中の学習および協働活動で得た経験が社会人基礎力に及ぼす影響}, year = {2021}, yomi = {タナカ, シノブ and オオニシ, フミアキ} }
