Athletes who had undergone MT in a lecture course were asked to answer the research question (RQ)“ How would you describe the effects of MT?” The responses to the RQ were used to arrive at instructive hypothetical findings that could be further developed and enhanced. Once a week, lecture-based MT was given to 38 athletes who were members of a university baseball club. Each session lasted approximately 60 to 90 minutes, and 10 sessions were held over approximately two months. Qualitative research was used to ascertain what was learned from the MT through lectures based on the narration of club coaches, athletes, and MT trainers. A qualitative synthesis was used for analysis. The derived hypothetical findings are as follows:“ During the MT sessions, I found that self-understanding deepened through conversations with myself and others. As a result, I became aware of my personal issues and tasks and fostered my identity and individuality, my motivation increased i.e., desire to perform well, and I was able to use my MT experiences in actual sporting situations.” It can be concluded that lecture-based MT helped the subject athletes engage in conversations with themselves and others, thus enabling them to deepen their self-understanding.}, pages = {51--61}, title = {メンタルトレーニング効果の質的検討 : 選手−コーチ−メンタルトレーニング指導者の語りに着目して}, year = {2018}, yomi = {ニシムラ, ケンヤ and トヨダ, ノリシゲ and タケウチ, サヤカ and イトウ, マユミ} }
