Good understanding of the students would enable teachers to apply better instruction and guidance. But some students, in adolescence, seem to have tendency to hide their real feelings. So, the development of the way of understanding of the students without their resistance was important. The ninth grade students were instructed to draw their feelings making use of abstract pictures with suitable color on A4 sized paper with pencil or color pencils in one period in their art class in April 2009. Some comments were added by students regarding their work. Their pictures were analyzed in view of the feeling, figure, color, and size. Some students were treated carefully based on what their pictures expressed. The results were the following: 1.  Students drew their feelings, such as anxiety, happiness, hope, on their pictures without resistance. They seemed to reflect their mood in ninth grade of junior high school in April. 2.  Most feelings were drawn with curved lines or curved lines with straight lines. Curved lines, that were soft and changeable seemed to reflect their mood. 3.  All the pictures were colored with color pencils, such as blue, red, violet, yellow, and black. Their comments on their works almost agreed with the knowledge of color psychology. 4.  More than half the pictures covered the whole surface.}, pages = {71--83}, title = {教科指導を生かした生徒理解に関する基礎的研究 : 中学校美術科の事例から}, year = {2010}, yomi = {タカヤナギ, マサト and ハラダ, フミ} }
