| 内容記述 | Sports for the disabled have become increasingly popular, been reported frequently in mass media, and known to the general public widely. However, many of the sports are for limited disabled elite athletes who aim to participate in the Paralympic Games. Sports for the disabled cover not only competitive sports but also therapeutic training in the medical rehabilitative process, the promotion of health or leisure in sports facilities, and physical education lessons in special schools for handicapped children. In giving lessons to“Sports for the Disabled”students at Biwako Seikei Sport College （BSSC）, we need to study what we shall instruct, what we shall research and how we can satisfy the additional“contribution to society”initiative. This aspect is the third mission of the newly opened BSSC which adheres to the ideas of the inauguration of this college. Because the area of sports for the disabled is broad, we have classified this and grasped the actual situation and problems in each divided area in order to study the direction which we shall head. | |||||||||||||
